It’s a massive weekend of C grade footy this week as preliminary finals are fought out in most grades. In C1 and C2 however its still semi-final weekend with one side to go straight into the grand final

C1
Port Districts season was finished by the Goodwood Saints in a four-point nail biter Elimination Final with, Andrew Good kicking five goals for Goodwood (Saints: 8.9-57 to Pt.Dist: 8.5-53). Adelaide University will meet Prince Alfred OC in Semi-Final 2 this week after beating St Peter’s OC in the Qualifying Final (Uni: 9.7-61 to SPOC: 6.10-46).

C2
Henley recorded a 22-point win over Broadview in the Qualifying Final with, Henley taking on Tea Tree Gully next week (Hen: 8.7-55 to Broad: 4.9-33). Sacred Heart OC ended Old Ignatians season beating them by 17-points after Sacred Heart OC were up by eight goals at half time (Iggies: 7.4-46 to SHOC: 9.9-63).

C3

Modbury recorded a 32-point win over Golden Grove in Semi-Final 1, with Modbury going through to the Preliminary Final (Mod: 11.11-77 to Grove: 6.9-45). Flinders Park have gone through to the Grand Final after getting over Plympton by four-points, with Joel Baldwin kicking five goals for Flinders Park (Flind. Pk: 9.9-63 to Plym: 8.11-59).

C4

Adelaide University will be playing in the Grand Final after beating SMOSH West Lakes in a four-point thriller, with inaccuracy almost costing Adelaide University who kicked 13 behinds (Uni: 11.13-79 to SMOSH: 12.3-75). Pembroke OS will play SMOSH in the Preliminary Final after recording a 111-point win over Pulteney who, didn’t register a score after half time (PemOS: 19.16-130 to Pult: 3.3-21).

C5

Lockleys have made it to the Grand Final after beating Salisbury by 86-points in their Semi-Final clash (Lock: 17.15-117 to Sali: 4.7-31). Adelaide Lutheran recorded a 21-point win over Brahma Lodge and will meet Salisbury in the Preliminary Final (B.Ldg: 11.8-74 to Luth: 14.11-95).

C6

Marion have gone through to the Preliminary Final after beating Blackfriars OS by 34-points (Mar: 12.11-83 to BOS: 7.7-49). Adelaide University will have another week off after beating Elizabeth by 68-points and making the Grand Final while, Elizabeth will play Marion in the Preliminary Final (Uni: 16.12-108 to Eliz: 6.4-40).

C7

St Peter’s OC will play in the Grand Final after beating Golden Grove, with Robert Spagnoletti kicking five goals for St Peter’s OC (Grove: 9.8-62 to SPOC: 12.11-83). Prince Alfred OC ended Tea Tree Gully’s season beating them by 20-points in Semi Final 1, Prince Alfred will play Golden Grove in the Preliminary Final (TTG: 6.7-61 to PAOC: 13.3-81).
