Redlegs to make up for slow start to season

After another entertaining weekend of SANFL Football, round 6 of this shortened season is upon us. With the halfway point of the season nearly here, the ladder is far from settled. The race for the top four is in full swing with only percentage separating a three teams. One of those teams is the Norwood Redlegs, the Redlegs, after a slow start to the season sit 5th on the ladder and only .5% has them outside the top four. Norwood travel away for the second week in a row to face the 7th placed Bloods at Hisense Stadium.

After a come from behind win against the Double Blues, the Redlegs are starting to get back on track with consecutive wins following a 65-point defeat of the Eagles in round 4. After being down at the quarter time and half-time breaks, the Redlegs kicked 7 goals to 2 in the second half to run away 15-point winners at Peter Motley Oval against Sturt. Highly rated off-season recruit and former AFL player Ryan Bastinac did not disappoint in hist first game for the legs gathering 23 touches and bagging a goal. Lewis Johnston also impressed on return collecting 27 disposals.
