Central District v North Adelaide

SANFL Footy is settling into its groove nicely, which makes round 5 the ideal time for the Bulldogs to ­register an overdue win. After a month of promising footy with a string of individual highs and great ­collective quarters, the Central District Football Club would be a frustrated breed: Last week Norwood joined the winning list at the expense of the fast finishing Dogs,  while South Adelaide slipped away the week before, and a win was voided by the Bloods in an thrilling draw back in Round 2.

We are quite fortunate here in South Australia that a sense of normalcy has returned – with it returns many weekend ­sporting competitions, from the grassroots to the grandstands. X Convenience Oval will host the Doggies faithful this ­Saturday against nearest-neighbours the North Adelaide Football Club, in what will likely prove another ladder-defying contest.
