GRAND FINAL – Demons and the Cats lock horns in the big dance. Will it be Hope Valley or Walkerville to celebrate long into the night with the premiership cup?

Pembroke OS v Walkerville
Walkerville have consolidated a spot in the 2020 Grand Final, after they defeated minor premiers Pembroke OS by 27-points in the preliminary final on Saturday. After going through the home-and-away season undefeated, the Kings lost consecutive finals to end their impressive season on a disappointing note. Similar to their round four meeting, there was little separating the teams at quarter time, with the Kings leading by just one-point. In the second term neither team was able to grab full ascendency, with the Cats holding a three-point lead at half-time. When play resumed in the second half, the Cats displayed their trademark attacking game-style, with six goals in the third quarter seeing them lead by 19-points at the final break. Despite the best efforts of the determined Kings, the Cats finished off the game strongly, to give themselves the opportunity to claim the flag. Sean Kuerschner was proactive for the Cats, with five goals and a hand in many others, while Benjamin Walter was hard to contain with three majors. King’s Alex Forster kicked a bag of six for the second consecutive week, while Jack Green snagged two. The outstanding performance of Kuerschner was well accompanied by great games from Brady Zwar and Tim Woolford, with the Cats having a number of notable contributors throughout the game. For the Kings Charles Canny set, a high standard of effort for his teammates to reach, while Oliver Harms was industrious. Coming from the elimination final the Cats will be hoping for a fairy-tale finish this weekend, while the Kings will hit pre-season determined to take the next step in the 2021 season.
Grand Final Preview:
Hope Valley v Walkerville
In the 2020 Division 4 Grand Final Hope Valley will face Walkerville at Woodville Oval on Saturday. The last game of the season is set to be a thriller, with both teams having several goal scoring options and star players. After having the week off the Demons will feel refreshed and be determined to have a positive start to the game. The Cats will be confident they can get the result, after defeating the Demons by 29-points in round five, with Demons star forward Matthew Min being held to just two-majors. The attacking-play of these teams will be entertaining for the crowd, with Cats livewire Benjamin Walter and Demons marking giant Jayke Hellamanns set to provide many highlights throughout the game. During the season both teams have struggled with inconsistent form, however this final series has revealed their best form and creates an intriguing match-up which is set to be high-scoring. The synergy of the Cats looks destined to trouble the Demons, with their second half against the Kings proving that when in-form they can play a brand of footy which will test any side. If Min can get plenty of supply the Demons may challenge the Cats, but the cohesive play of the Cats is expected to be to great for the Demons to match. Walkerville by 22 points.
